Chris Fry is the founder and managing director of Strategic
Management Solutions. Mr. Fry brings over 17 years of US-based and international consulting experience to Strategic Management Solutions, and is an expert in using
analytical approaches to support strategic decision-making. Prior to starting Strategic Management Solutions in 2002, he was a consultant with Decision Focus, Inc., a firm
which pioneered the development of the revenue management field during the early to mid 1990s, and also with strategy consulting firms Booz Allen Hamilton and McKinsey and
Company, Inc. During his career, he participated in and led consulting projects in the areas of pricing and revenue management, supply chain strategy and supply chain risk
management, complexity management, sales and marketing management, organizational design, and general corporate strategy. Mr. Fry has served in a wide range of
industries including high technology, airline and air cargo, energy, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, consumer products, and automotive. He spent four years of
his career living and working in Asia with a focus on serving clients doing business in China, and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Mr. Fry earned a Master of Science degree
in Management Science from Stanford University, where he conducted research in the areas of pricing, supply chain management, and marketing science. He earned his BS degree
in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University.
Jose Landivar is a senior consultant at Strategic Management
Solutions. Mr. Landivar has extensive experience in the fields of supply chain and complexity management and supports Strategic Management Solutions in these areas. Prior to
joining Strategic Management Solutions, Jose founded Palosanto Solutions, a IT consulting firm serving the Ecuador market, and was a staff engineer in the microprocessor
division at Broadcom. Mr. Landivar holds a BS degree in elecrtrical and computer engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and an MBA/MS degree with a
focus on Supply Chain and Operations from Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management as a Robert Noyce Leaders for Manufacturing Fellow.
Craig Volonoski is a senior consultant at Strategic
Management Solutions. He has been a quantitative consultant since 1990, specializing in utilizing the information resources within organizations
to achieve competitive advantage. He brings 20 years of analytics and consulting experience, with a diverse background in business analysis,
quantitative problem solving, and information system design which enables him to manage projects through their entire life cycle. Mr. Volonoski has developed a wide
range of statistical and analytical models across a variety of industries, including a state-of-the-art revenue management system for a leading hotel chain, SAS-based
statistical forecasting models to support inventory planning and price forecasting decisions for a leading auto manufacturer, and a supply chain planning system for a
world-wide semiconductor manufacturer. He holds an BS degree in economics and applied math from Carnegie Mellon University and and MS degree in Operations Research and
Industrial Engineering from Cornell.
Chris Hain is a business analyst at Strategic Management Solutions. He has project experience in the consumer products, telecommunications, electronics, and electric power industries, specializing in data analysis and decision modeling for supply chain, product lifecycle management, and pricing problems. Working with a leading jewelry manufacturer, he has evaluated inventory management and commodity price hedging strategies and has developed product sustainability metrics for a leading telecommunications and networking equipment manufacturer. Chris graduated from Stanford University with a BS in Management Science & Engineering and a concentration in organizations, technology, and entrepreneurship. He is fluent in Spanish and Italian.
Tracy Matic is a senior business analyst at Strategic Management
Solutions. She has supported projects in forecasting and pricing for an automotive industry client and has delivered training and consulting services to a
PC and consumer electronics industry client in the area of spreadsheet modeling and analytics. Prior to joining Strategic Management Solutions, Tracy held various revenue
management positions at Marriott International where she provided pricing and forecasting expertise to the hotel management teams as well as developed company-wide
analytical tools to maximize revenue. Tracy graduated from Cornell University with a BS degree in hotel administration, specializing in finance and revenue management.
She is fluent in Cantonese Chinese.
David Spindler is an associate consultant at Strategic
Management Solutions. Based in Beijing, Mr. Spindler provides China-specific consulting and generalist consulting expertise to Strategic Management Solutions on an as-needed
basis. During his twelve years in China, he has held positions at McKinsey & Company, the U.K. law firm Freshfields, and Turner Broadcasting with roles ranging from
strategy consulting to market research covering both the Chinese and international markets. He holds an A.B. degree from Dartmouth College, an
M.A. from Peking University, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
